Upper-level interdisciplinary classes that provide an opportunity for students to make connections between the methods and subject fields of different academic disciplines utilizing the personal and intellectual insights they have acquired during the first half of their college experience.

This section offers an investigation of the literary phenomenon known as German Romanticism, 1770 to 1850. Students will explore this literary and historical period as a site on ongoing cultural conflict and negotiation between "old" and "new", "nature" and "nurture", "poetry" and "prose", and the relationship between individual and society.
